I am a  philosophy PhD student at the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at the London School of Economics and Political Science funded by an AHRC/LAHP studentship. Before coming to LSE in 2024, I received both my MA in philosophy and BA in philosophy with a minor in german studies (linguistics and literature) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. During my MA I also spent some time as a visiting student at the University of St Andrews (SASP) and the University of Leeds.

My primary areas of research are epistemology (especially formal and social) and the philosophy of action (action theory and decision theory). I am particularly interested in agents' attitudes towards uncertainty that underpin rational reasoning—both practical and theoretical. Currently, I am working on projects focused on the nature and norms of first- and second-order attitudes (e.g., intentions/plans, confidence, acceptance) and how these impact the decision-making of rational agents. I am particularly interested in self-predictive probabilities.

To this end, my work also touches on issues in the philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, philosophy of probability, and metaethics—but I am also independently interested in issues in these areas that go beyond these intersections. Here is my PhilPapers page and here is my CV.

My first name is pronounced /puːnə/ in IPA. I grew up in Bremen which you might know from this fairytale by the Grimm Brothers. When not doing philosophy, I like to spend my time outside, at galleries, or chasing good coffee.
